Sam Rockwell the new Dustin Hoffman?
Found this pic from GQ on another tumblr and figured that the question is just as interesting, if not more so, now than it was in 2003. In Hoffman and Rockwell, I think you’ve got two very committed, very talented actors who aren’t necessarily amongst the hunks but aren’t ugly either. They’re leading men and their faces seem to naturally contain all the context their character needs. And doesn’t Dustin’s performance (or rather his helplessness) in Marathon Man kind of echo Sam Rockwell’s turn in Moon (okay, this is a stretch but hopefully somebody gets what I’m getting at).
So I ask you, tumblr, is Sam Rockwell the next Dustin Hoffman? Is he better/worse?
